We study the best solutions starting from the customer’s drawings or blueprints to execute precision machinings that meet the technical requirements as well as respecting the environment and sector needs. Examples of this are the plug testing gauges for automatic checking machines, high-speed steel gauges and differential forks as well as measuring systems.

Customized gauges for the medical field: the Orthofix case study
We can implement our skills in multiple industrial sectors, such as the medical one. This means having specific requirements to meet, which is also why precision is our standard, especially when working with Orthofix, Italian leader in the field of orthopedic implants.
Our customers handle, among other things, the production of medical screws that are used for hip surgeries. Our intervention, in this case, involves the production of customized gauges to check medical screws. This kind of screw is colloquially called “nail”, however, they are complex mechanical tools made of various components.

Drawing examination
The first phase of every custom project starts from the detailed examination of the product’s drawing and blueprint provided by the custom and the gauge used for control.
Drafting and confrontation
A first draft is developed and sent to the customer to evaluate each detail and report any changes they would like to make. Our team exchanges information with the customer to make changes without compromising precision and efficiency in the product.
Draft approval
Based on the details agreed with the customer, the project is updated and evaluated by the customer for final approval.
Sample model
For us during the work process is fundamental to keep an open conversation with the customer at all times regarding the mathematical models as well as the real measurements of the sample models.
Product Testing
Once the customer is satisfied with the results, we test the product functions together.
Production and supply
As the sample model is approved, we proceed to the production of the custom gauges.
Advisors
Even if the supply might be considered complete in this phase, our job is only partially done. Because Tamburini is always available for its customers to make changes that better the products.
