Gauges
Tamburini Srl has studied, designed and produced thread, plain and special gauges, in accordance with the standards, and in consideration of the thread sizes and overall dimensions, for all kinds of usage since 1960. Tamburini Srl also manufactures customized thread and plain gauges to customers’ drawings and specifications.
Our gauges are made of highly non-deformable steel alloy, with a surface hardness of 63 HRc (achieved by quenching). All gauges can also be manufactured with lightened, non-magnetic materials or hard metal.
Thread and plain plugs
Tamburini Srl designs and produces thread and plain, standard and customized plugs to satisfy an extensive range of usage. Specifically, we produce standard thread plugs, thread plug gauges with handles, internally unloaded thread plug gauges, large size thread plug gauges with handles, plug gauges for deburring pieces and customer designed thread plugs to customer specifications.
Threaded and plain rings
Our catalogue contains an extensive range of thread and plain ring gauges, from standard rings made in accordance with regulations in force, to rings with thread sizes and overall dimensions following customers’ specifications (for example: bell-shaped thread rings, thread rings with diameters up to 400 mm, and deburring rings).
Customized gauges and forks
In order to satisfy more specific requirements, in addition to standard production, Tamburini Srl also produces customized gauges, to customer specifications, for particular testing requirements. For example: plug testing gauges for automatic checking machines, high speed steel gauges, differential forks.
Gauge surface treatments
Different surface treatments can be applied to Tamburini gauges in order to improve product performance and product lifetime, and to reduce friction during usage. Depending on the specific requirements and use of the gauge, surface treatments are carried out, as for example, coating of the thread with TIN or DLC,cambiare italiano without altering any of the characteristics of the gauges.
Quality control
Our objective is to achieve high-quality levels in all gauges we design and produce, and in order to do this we constantly carry out cross-checks. A preliminary check is always carried out at every stage along the production chain. All products then undergo Metrology Lab testing, where all characteristics are verified and recorded. Lastly, testing is followed by in-depth examination for ISO 9001 and EN 9100 certifications.
